The provincial government has just imposed the largest property tax increase on Calgarians in history.

In 2026, Alberta is increasing its share of your property tax bill by 21.05%. Nearly 42% of every residential property tax dollar now goes to Province.

Recently, UCP government advertised that “Alberta is open for business”, wanting to grow Alberta’s population to 10 million by 2030.

Now, influx on new Canadians is blamed for overcrowded hospitals, schools, and deficit.

In reality, mismanagement is the culprit, not immigrants.

Mass shootings are fucking awful. Transphobia is fucking awful. Social media today is fucking awful.

But we have no snow and a water system on the brink of failure so maybe a good thing we didn’t get them (even though I voted YES)

Trump on NATO:

"The problem with NATO is that we'll be there for them 100% but I'm not sure that they'd be there for us, if we gave them the call".

We did get the call on 9/11. 26 NATO members sent troops to defend the US. Hundreds died doing so. It was the only time Article 5 has been activated.

I have all the same questions! If it’s following science cool but tell me about (role of vaccine for example) or is it’s patriarchal medicine/cost cutting nonesense. I hope it’s the next best move in cancer detection and following science…but with this government I’m always skeptical.
