I really believe by making very quick prototypes and showing (poor) results of stuff to orgs, you can get some way now in having a good convo about why data governance matters.
This quote sort of hit me about how quickly models/approaches are going to keep evolving:

Geesh never felt a language barrier so much trying to help an Afghan woman crying on the train who’s been separated from her children. I don’t know why, and I couldn’t quite work out how but she was really distressed
We held hands together for a leg of the journey + got her phone charged back up 💔
All this to say that, through making it allows us to think about policy, what tools we find useful, and what we need our data to do for us.

During the session on the paper about risk appetite, I took the (publicly released) written PDF, and created a Riskbot, so staff can ask questions about different decisions they are making and how to map risk

Been working up a home dashboard for ourselves to keep on top of things like bin collections, shopping, tasks.
Going to try get it onto a nice mounted ipad in the kitchen.
Built the css / design system from eye dropping colours from our renovation pictures. Going for a soft muted beige style 😜

Surely this is something Gov can do through a research partnership, sample size and then do some math as a basic starting point?
I'm using University College Dublin research, a small sample size, so not entirely accurate, but it's impactful I think when you consider the size.
Obvs like not perfect at all, comes with all usual caveats but just having fun playing around with ideas.
Still playing, and setting up my stack / Claude Code, but made a counter that shows since the year began, how many hours are spent on life admin in the UK by each citizen (paying bills, phoning companies, chasing issues) based on research from UCD Dublin.
