Insbesondere gelang es ihnen, die durchgängige jährliche Bewegung eines arktischen Gletschers mittels photogrammetrischer Messungen präzise zu bestimmen und umfassende Untersuchungen zur Wasser- und Wärmehaushaltsbilanz am Loven-Gletscher durchzuführen.

Vor 60 Jahren! 📅❄️
Im Juli 1965 kehrt die erfolgreiche Überwinterungsgruppe einer DDR-Spitzbergen-Expedition zurück. Ein 18-köpfiges Team der Wissenschaftszweige Glaziologie-Geodäsie, Periglazialforschung, Hydrologie-Meteorologie und Geomagnetik arbeitete zunächst am #Kongsvegen-Gletscher.
