But of course it depends on the app. The analysis of the apps with jdeps will define which components of the JRE are required. And jlink will build it on exactly that requirements then
It depends on a couple of things. Jib has a default image, with jlink/jdeps you need to provide your own. If you keep those identical, you can see the difference in the JRE layer. In my case it was a difference of about 150MB, if I remember correctly
