The first time I encountered one of these sprinting around in the sand it blew my mind, they're super quick!
Is this based on real world measurements or a study that you could link me? I don't ask to accuse of anything, I am curious about the real eroei of solar when things like mining and transport are taken into account and haven't been able to find good data on this.

The study often cited by media in their articles about that was retracted: retractionwatch.com/2015/07/21/t...
Not to say it's never happened, I'm sure it does regularly, but there's more nuance to it than is often discussed, according to those who published this study.
Trick question, neither of them will be affordable.
Yikes
I submit for everyone's consideration, these Salt Lake City police officers on June 12th. At what point does the patch on their shoulder not matter anymore?

Those areas are the Great Salt Lake itself, and the seasonally flooded salt flats to it's west surrounding the Newfoundland Mountains and air force test ranges. A-A-Ron suggesting a lack of data for that area is probably correct, and I'd wager it roughly matches the data of the surrounding areas.
That I am less informed on tbh. If you find a model you like you might be able to find others commenting on its glasses compatibility. I imagine a powered system (often abbreviated PAPR) might prevent fogging to some degree?
For masks look into the Czech made models that companies like Mira mark up and re-sell (OM-2020 and similar). Plates you want to be certified by NIJ accredited testing labs.
I wish I spoke enough French to read the article, what ethical concerns does this raise? The lake is there and the warming is guaranteed, is the dilemma to let it form and break naturally or to pump it out in a controlled manner?
Believe me, a lot of us are.
