My watch, which is only supposed to calibrate when Bluetooth is on, changed itself. But my car, which receives traffic and weather updates via satellite every 10 minutes, did not. So dumb.
A decade ago I was t-boned in my SUV and had to call a friend from the tow yard. She showed up in her smart car (mid winter) & helped me empty my gear into hers. We then had to drive back through the intersection where I was hit.
Her car handled great but she gave me a cig to calm me down 😂

The man loved cameras and kept soooo many duplicates of photos. We recently found 4-5 copies of one showing him in the neck halo working through invoices at the shop. My mom remembers tossing dozens of similar shots when we moved him and grandma out of Mpls. I'm sure there's more 😂
My grandpa was with the USAAF, landed behind German lines by both parachute and glider. He worked as a mechanic/shop owner while dealing with multiple surgeries for neck injuries from the war.
He survived cancer and multiple strokes but died from pneumonia after a fall in spring snow.
