Part of the horror of Good’s killing, in the video, is precisely its deeply gendered dynamic: a man responded with murderous violence to a woman’s perceived subversion of his male authority. This gender violence aspect is not mooted by Ross’s simultaneous status as an enforcer of federal policy.

It’s entirely possible that had Good lived, the Trump administration might have tried to prosecute her. That’s essentially what happened to Marimar Martinez, a U.S. citizen in Chicago, in October. Martinez was in her car trying to warn people about ICE when she collided with a Border Patrol vehicle. Federal officials claimed she “rammed” a car driven by the agent Charles Exum, while her lawyers say he sideswiped her. Exum then got out of his car and shot her five times. Martinez survived, only for the Justice Department to charge her with assaulting a federal officer. Her lawyers soon discovered that Exum had been boasting about the shooting in text messages. In one, he wrote, “I fired 5 rounds, and she had 7 holes. Put that in your book boys.” In another, he said, “Sweet. My fifteen mins of fame. Lmao.” The Justice Department ended up dropping the case before even more messages could be revealed. Exum’s giddy sadism shouldn’t have been surprising; it reflects the culture the administration is encouraging among its immigration enforcers. In one ICE recruiting ad, an agent mans a mounted gun atop some sort of militarized vehicle, with the words, “Destroy the flood.” It was a reference to the video game Halo, where players must kill a flood of hostile space aliens. Another shows sword-wielding knights with the words, “The enemies are at the gates.”
Depraved.
We are a country whose Constitution, according to the Supreme Court, gives our own presidents immunity for crimes committed while in office, but we will prosecute presidents of other countries for alleged crimes and invade them to execute arrest warrants.

Es ist halt so, dass bei all den schwachen Momenten von Männern immer Mädchen und Frauen drauf zahlen. Als wären sie Statistinnen der Geschichte, die nur dazu da sind den Hauptcharakter zu befördern oder sein Leid zu absorbieren.

Wie im Wahlkampf bricht Merz einen Kulturkampf vom Zaun, lässt sich von der AfD treiben.
Energie- oder Wärmewende. E-Moblität und Clean-Tech-Industrie. Digitale Souveränität und Fachkräftemangel. Armutsschere und Wohnungsnot.
Merz löst mit solchen Debatten rein gar nichts, spaltet aber das Land.

Wisst ihr wie viele Menschen an deutschen Grenzen in den letzten 4 Wochen zurückgewiesen wurden? 160. Noch mal in Worten: Hundertsechzig. Für diese lächerliche, herzlose & illegale Symbolpolitik hat die Koalition also den Rechtsstaat beschädigt. Es gibt keine Migrationskrise. Es gibt eine CDU-Krise.

I think it can be hard to understand why someone in this category would vote for this unless you follow sports. All they're hearing is that their Team won, so they're happy. Their self-esteem is tied to feeling like Trump got what he wanted, they'll blame someone else for their hardship later

Die Pandemiebekämpfung hat das aufgezeigt und es wird auf die Bekämpfung der Klimakrise überspringen.
