On Thursday, March 19th at 1pm, Elebash Winds presents “Romancing Winds,” a recital of chamber works by Mozart and Schumann, as part of the Music in Midtown series. The program includes Mozart’s Quintet in E-flat Major, K.452 and various “Romances” by Schumann.

On Tuesday, March 17th at 7:30pm, pianist and GC faculty member Nicolas Namoradze performs an all-Beethoven program in Elebash Hall.  Works include the Piano Sonata in F Major, Op. 54, Piano Sonata in B-flat Major, Op. 106 (“Hammerklavier”) and Namoradze’s own arrangement of the Große Fuge, Op. 133.

On Friday, March 13th at 6pm, DMA pianist Christian Verfenstein performs in Elebash Hall. The program will feature Bach’s Toccata in D minor, BWV 913, Haydn’s Sonata in A-flat major, Hob. XVI:43, Liszt’s Dante Sonata, Judith Lang Zaimont’s “Wizards”, and Ravel’s La Valse.

On Thursday, February 19th at 1pm, the trio Rule of Three presents "In the Footsteps of Debussy" as part of the Music in Midtown series in Elebash Hall. The program includes the Debussy's Trio for flute, viola, and harp, which was the first significant chamber music for this setting.

Congratulations to the Terra String Quartet, which includes cellist and GC alumna Audrey Chen, on winning the 2025 Naumburg Chamber Music Competition! The award includes $15,000, a Carnegie Hall recital, a San Francisco Conservatory recital, a commissioned work and a recording of the work.
