I got a lovely one this week too. Thanks for the reminder that I must share it. It feels like a win even when it's a rejection, doesn't it? π₯°
That's such a sad explanation to have to give. I think you might find that we're all grateful for a form letter these days! π€£
In a maelstrom of lies and distraction, writers become the last keepers of truth.
Keep writing. It matters.
I totally hear you. I'm on immuno-suppressants and it's so frustrating when people don't consider others. I don't get out much anymore, so it's not such a problem anymore. But that shouldn't have to be the case. Big hugs.
What a lovely #mswl! It's great to read about someone who has slightly quirky tastes, like so many of us! π₯°
I've just queried Eva, but now I think you might prefer it, as it's an immersive historical adventure. There were so many agents on last night that I ended up a little confused! π
I write historical and fantasy. I feel your pain twice over!
I love your kindness, thank you!
It's lovely to see that editors are interested in the type of stories I write! If you could just let the agents know...? π
Looking forward to you reopening! :)
That'll be great! Hopefully you'll be leaning more YA by the end of Spring!
Thank you for getting back to me so quickly! That's great news. I'll get started on a query. π
I'm quite hopeful I may have something that fits part of your MSWL. QT is saying you're closed. Do you have an alternative link/route, please?
I'm sorry! I've run out of manuscripts to throw your way. I guess I'd best get on with finishing the next one! π₯°π
Kristie, I've just seen your mswl and am definitely going to query you. However, as a fellow Capricorn and neurospicy, I need to check something. Could I please just clarify whether you are open for that strange MG/YA crossover area? I think what I have is ideal for you, but don't want to blow it!
She seems lovely, from the tone of her rejection letters! π₯°π
Sadly, we're without cats at the moment and I have already queried you so no joy there, but here's a picture of our Clumber Spaniels meeting a horse for the first time!
I've updated my wish list in preparation for the upcoming #MSWL Day! Stay tuned for details on 2/26/26!
I know exactly which agent that is! π€£ Have had the same one twice from them now. I'm only on my third book so far.
Are you still looking for badass girls doing badass things?

She shut the laptop, lip trembling. No agent. No prizes. No energy left for hope. Sheβd failed at writing and at giving it up. This time was goodbye, for her sanity. But the words wouldnβt stop calling to her. Her eyes glazed, her heart already soaring as she opened the lid one last time. #WriteCBC
#WriteCBC task from Anna Davis: I'd you to write a mini-scene or story which features a goodbye. It can be poignant, humorous, dark, exciting, strange or whatever you like. Your goodbye should be the end of something and also a beginning β make me want to read on!
I quite enjoy that sort of mad chaos in a masochistic way. There is nothing we can control from this end, so why not?
In the UK, where MG historical is very tough. Think PBs may be worse, though.
I'm now at the point where I 'know' that'll happen next. MG is a tough place.
Today, I chose to believe good things are coming, even though it won't stop raining and I want it to be Spring already!
