Well under 1k. I do mostly watercolors, some are personal projects but I do many fanarts too.

Congrats!! I started with watercolors at 40 and didn't draw anything since high school. Anyway you can enjoy the abstract mixing of colors, using textures with salt and all that since the beginning. First pictures were colourful messes. It's my favorite medium. Hope you love them too!!

And, for me at least, the process is enjoyable, is not just the payoff of the product. I love painting, drawing, learning. I constantly go out of my comfort zone to learn a new technique or use a new media. I don't want five minutes of prompt, I want to paint with my hands. I need it.

Yes, indeed there's less tolerance to frustration versus a need for immediacy. It's a problem when "everything" you need you have it in your hand (info, music, series) and you consume it fast, and also multitasking. But I know many young people loving the process of learning to paint too.

I mean. Ok, you don't want to invest time and effort in learning. You don't enjoy the process. Then if you have an idea you want done, just comission someone. But they say "we also have the right to create" and for me it sounds exactly the same as the incels reclaiming right to sex.

Sure.
Anyway the problem for me is that notion that making art is their right anyway, even if doing so could damage the real art. Living as an artist was difficult without AI. If it gets impossible people won't have the energy to invest all that time of learning for nothing, even if they enjoy it

Well, maybe not, I guess, and some moments can be frustrating, imposter syndrome and all. Anyway, all the artists I know enjoy painting and drawing. I wouldn't change all the hours of creating something for some minutes of prompting. It's easier but it's empty.

💯. Also, learning to paint or draw may be sometimes slower or harder than you'd like, but the process is enjoyable. You're always learning and improving, and that's great. The sensation when you accomplish something, even if it doesn't match your mental expectation, is awesome.

Trying to paint a bit. After chemotherapy it's difficult, brain is foggy and every movement is exhausting. I'm dizzy, hands tremble. And I'm terrorized of messing it. Almost a week has past and I'm tired of nothingness. Al least I'll try... Even if heat dries the paint too fast. #WIP #Art

It's a great way to identify people that's taking advantage of your difficulties with boundaries, noes, and tendency to put the others before your needs. And usually they're hard to identify, you think they're just close friends, but they're close because they're invading your space

People that get mad when you put boundaries is the same people that used to be happy crossing them. Not the people that you need close
