Job alert! We're looking for a brilliant Postdoctoral Computational Biologist. The role is embedded in Prof James Arnold's Tumour Immunology Group within
@kingslsm.bsky.social, deconstructing the TME, generating new biological insights and identifying novel therapeutic opportunities.
π―Come and work with us! We're hiring two Histology Technicians at UCL. Be part of a small but ambitious team providing important services.

We're so proud of our faculty members who have won #CancerGrandChallenges funding - Leanne Li will lead team InteroCANCEption, investigating how the brain and nervous system sense and respond to changes in the body. They will explore how the brain might detect tumours and influence how they grow.
Congratulations to our faculty members who have received #CancerGrandChallenges funding! Bart Vanhaesebroeck will lead REWIRE CAN with @christophertape.bsky.social and @vivianlilab.bsky.social, unpicking the way cancer develops by using optimal oncogenic signalling to cause permanent cell division.
What an absolute pleasure to host Prof Jyoti Choudhury @jc4-jyoti.bsky.social at our @cruk-cityoflondon.bsky.social Proteomics Seminar Series on Monday 2nd of March. It was utterly thrilling to learn about the annotation of protein-coding genes that still lay in the darkness of the proteome.
Itβs a privilege to welcome our keynote Dr Marleen Kok @nkinl.bsky.social to #CRUKCoL2026. Her lab aims to unpick why only a subgroup of breast cancer patients benefit from drugs that stimulate the anti-cancer immune response, and develop predictive tests that can select patients who will benefit.
At #CRUKCoL2026 we're hearing from Jai Sidpra, MBPhD alumnus, on his group's brain imaging technique, 'tumour network mappingβ. For the first time, this enables researchers to define anatomic maps of prognostic brain network connections which exist between tumours and the otherwise healthy brain.
The context toΒ @karinstraathof.bsky.social's talk is collaboration supported by @cruk-rrc-col.bsky.socialΒ bringing together her translational research group and the proton beam radiotherapy team, enabling research into optimisation of combined radiation + CAR T-cell therapy in sarcoma. #CRUKCoL2026
Weβre joined at our Annual Symposium by @crhorizons.bsky.social, the 2nd largest cancer drug licensor globally. Aurora Negro set out how CRH can support #CRUKFunded scientists to protect and develop their ideas and engage and collaborate with industry to realise translational potential. #CRUKCoL2026
@christophertape.bsky.social is presenting at #CRUKCoL2026 on single-cell phenoscaping of tumour microenvironment organoids, outlining the delineation of colorectal cancer cells along a spectrum of stem-like states and the role of fibroblasts in pushing cancer cells into a treatment-resistant state.
At #CRUKCoL2026, Dr Ellie Alberts is discussing triple negative breast cancer. An approach combining pathology, spatial analysis, + machine learning has shown associations between immune features of sentinel lymph nodes - specifically the accumulation of extrafollicular plasma cells - and outcomes.
It's our Annual Symposium! #CRUKCoL2026 sees 400 delegates meet for scientific presentations, networking and discussion. Prof Mariam Jamal-Hanjani + Dr Erik Sahai are co-chairs. Our programme covers immune system x TME crosstalk, emerging molecular mechanisms, and cancer origins + genetic mosaicism.
Prof Hodivala-Dilke discussed the importance of diverse patient data and samples in enabling research that furthers understanding of the molecular and cellular bases of cancer inequality. We're excited to contribute and bring forward initiatives to further drive research into cancer inequalities.
This #WorldCancerDay we're delighted to attend the launch of @cancerresearchuk.org's strategic approach to equality, diversity and inclusion in research. Our faculty member Prof Kairbaan Hodivala-Dilke was also part of today's panel.
Today, on #WorldCancerDay, weβre taking you behind the scenes at Queen Mary's Barts Cancer Institute and introducing you to the people who are making progress possible.
Follow us to stay up to date with new developments.
