The only homeowners we malign are the ones who try to pull the ladder up behind them. Is it really “demonizing” when they deserve it?

I was actually a little sad that they hated it as much as they did, cuz I had watched the entire series and had a lot of fun doing so! But I did so 2-3 years after the episode came out and I can see it hitting differently at the height of the pandemic.
I don’t really care if the kids know who Elvis is but are they not watching Lilo & Stitch?!
I watched Father of the Pride for PTR and I enjoyed it way more than I expected. It is a terrible show and everything people say about it is true but if you like bad media, nothing has more WTFs per minute.
Aren’t most people who self-identify as “farmers” farm owners, vs. farm laborers?
Frozen
I know this is a thing because I’ve heard people talk about it, but for whatever reason, it hasn’t hit my account yet. 🤞
If the VR plan is real then I fear they’ll treat it as a test to gauge interest, and when it’s unpopular they’ll conclude that fans don’t actually want Muppetvision that much.
So just for the record, I do want Muppetvision, just not in VR!
I bet they are considering bringing it back to DCA, because it wouldn’t be the first time they built something because fans were clamoring for it online.
Can somebody please give them a houseplant?
Listening to a movie recap/review podcast of a movie I loved when the podcasters also loved it: very fun
When I didn’t like the movie but the podcasters loved it: also fun
When I disliked it and the podcasters did too: also fun
When I liked it and the podcasters didn’t: not fun at all
It’s already happening on TikTok. The justification is “we had the best club music because things were so grim all you could do was get wasted and party”.
Has anyone ever actually had a super fancy, many course Michelin type fine dining meal and actually left hungry?
I’ve been fortunate enough to visit two such restaurants and I absolutely did not. The portions look tiny but that’s because there’s so many courses! In total it was plenty of food.
I think you’d need to either use a separate pan, or buy a rice cooker with a sauté function.
(IDK if this would have been considered fair use if they weren’t public domain, but movie lawyers are usually too cautious to take advantage of fair use anyway, so I don’t think they would have done it if they weren’t.)
We are all very fortunate that Mickey and Minnie Mouse entered public domain in time to make this appearance in Weapons.
So it’s not really making your eyes worse (unless you have side effects or the surgery goes wrong somehow), but it’s trading one annoyance for another (but a trade that most people consider a net positive).
As you get older your eyes get worse at focusing on close up objects. When this happens, a little nearsightedness is beneficial because then you can just take your glasses off to look at close up things. LASIK puts you in the same boat as people who were never nearsighted, so you need readers.
My dad is in a similar situation and his view is that needing glasses for distance is superior because you’re less likely to lose them if you take them off for close up tasks and put them back on for walking around compared to the other way around.
Theme park fans whenever there's a new original character:
You basically have to stress every syllable the opposite of how you would in natural speech
That is the calorie count of a lot of breakfast plates at Denny’s and similar restaurants! But I think most people eat them as a weekend brunch, not an everyday breakfast.
This made me realize that I have never once noticed the rods, nor their absence. So I guess I don't mind if they erase them, but it's completely unnecessary, because I won't notice either way. (Well, maybe I will now... ) youtu.be/qelBjt5mn8A
😭
Does it keep its promise though?
Right, we probably won’t have mass unemployment or the entire class of white collar jobs eliminated… but we will have a lot of individual people affected by layoffs and wage stagnation if we don’t do something to help them.
DGAF about collectible keys but TIL there is a Toad Hall Restaurant at DLP and I need to go there
Only out of context. Watch the whole video.
You are making an incredible leap. He said no such thing.
Only because it’s out of context. In context it’s more about balancing rhetoric/strategy focused on justice vs. what people want for their own benefit.
