Or, if do it the other way - $4.40 ÷ 3.785 = $1.16 per litre. Which is £0.86p. Now I feel more depressed... Diesel was last that cheap in the UK in 2002 🙈

Misery loves company and all that, hopefully that makes you feel better 😁

Litre not gallons (our litres are the same but gallons are 20% bigger here). There's 3.785 litres in US gallon so X $2.20 = $8.32 for comparable US price per gallon

I didnt do it as a straight conversion rate, sorry for confusion. That was changing it into comparable price per gallon - we price per litre and your gallons are a different size to ours as well, just make things more confusing 😁
So, £1.64 is showing (right now) as $2.20 but that's our price per (1/)

Totally agree - I also liked the original comment (pay per view anyone? Monies raised go towards vaccination programmes), and here to also say measles is no joke. I had it as a child, very nearly died & have been left with lifelong problems. Yes please, all antivaxxers need to sniff a vial of ebola

Thank for the chuckle, that made me proper snort 😆

Come to UK, £1.64 for UK litre at my local tonight, that works out at about $8.31 per US gallon I think?

It was £1.40 4 days ago, going up by the hour 😑

I feel they know all this, but don't care - they see him as a necessary evil to get what they want. And its working - just look at abortion for a start. In their mind, he'll go to hell anyway for the bad stuff but they can get their way in the meantime. They don't see that they are also the bad guys

I had the opposite when had to visit the US recently- I put on weight despite only being there a few days. It was so hard to find healthy food. Its always been huge portion sizes but now everything tasted of corn syrup and god knows what. Even in Whole Foods, the quality was poor compared to UK

KFC, Nando's, and others ditch chicken welfare pledge as demand soars Wingstop, Burger King, and others have walked away from an industry commitment to avoid using fast-growing chickens

Very disappointing - and complete BS for their reasons, it all comes down to money. There are some fast food chains, like Shake Shack, that are still signed up so shall support them instead!

This 👍 Go for what you have the best evidence for. Its like Al Capone being charged with tax evasion rather than murder - you use whatever you can to get someone off the streets (as it were). Nothing stopping him being charged at a later point for other things

Its again about putting proper checks and balances in. Its bizarre how much power the president has - for a country that doesn't want a king!

(2/2) any legal action. It has been a long term set up and that is where the dems really fell down - this has been on the cards for years but they ignored it.
I still lay the blame fully at the feet of those who commit the crime & planned the protection of the criminals. They have to be stopped 1st

I do completely agree that democrats must ensure the system is completely overhauled when they ever get back in power - they have seen what happens if you dont have better legal checks in place.
But we are in this mess as the GOP have deliberately steered it that way. & they have ignored (1/2)

(2/2) my anger lies. I agree, the democrats need to recognise they are going up against people that don't play fair anymore. But I still prefer to direct my energy towards stopping those that commit the crime - attacking Biden feels like victim blaming rather than the perpetrators

I feel more anger towards those that kept the current criminal out of prison, despite him being prosecuted and found guilty for his other crimes. This was a long term plan by the republicans, they have changed the rules at every turn to protect him and so get what they want. That is where (1/2)

12.02.2026 17:18 👍 4 🔁 0 💬 2 📌 0

I feel that anger would be better directed at those who are currently in power, actually have the ability to do something and of course those that are actually implicated in files of crimes.
The criminals want you to look in the wrong direction, its how they have gotten away with this so far

It might sound bizarre that they ignore huge red flags and terrible behaviour but the sharing of a meme is the thing that changes their mind, but its well documented in high control/manipulative groups. I just celebrate that they have woken up, its a long road ahead now for them

Think about it like a cult - when members leave, its not necessarily the worst things that are the reason why, it builds up until something is the final tipping point. Its often described as a shelf having things added & the final item causes the collapse, even if its tiny

My humanitarian side is appalled, but the wicked side of me can really appreciate the dark humour in this...

And yet, people still don't think its going to happen to them 🤷‍♀️

Thank you 👌

Separately, over a period of many years. Describing in depth details.

You do get fake accusations but this many? With photos etc to back it up? Its hideous that this much has been sat on for so long and no one has taken it further. There are people in prison for life with less evidence against them

Yassss! I have said this so many times, its a cult playbook. I'm directing friends with MAGA relatives to books like Steven Hassan's, on how to help someone wake up from a cult 👍 Some were bad to start with, some believe the lies.

We had this in the UK with Jimmy Saville - not the same scale but definitely similarities. Hidden in plain sight and protected by main stream media.

Trump though, this is another level entirely. Its ALL out in the open yet he is being protected by literally everyone 😒

I have had Animal Farm running through my head continuously over the last year. The blatant lies spun as truth.

I find it heartening though, that my child's school have chosen it as the book to study this term. It made a lasting impression on me as a kid

Just watched Only Murders episode where they described the Mob as gone and replaced by the new crime lords of billionaires. A comedy series gets it (I'm behind btw, no spoilers please).
The super rich have always been allowed to live by different rules, there's just a lot more of them now
