And I ship Zeb and Kallus as any other Rebels enjoyer but I think it’s fucked up that an ISB agent and a person participated in a genocide got his little redemption arc and a hot furry husband (who is also one of the species Kallus genocide’d). Who thought including this was a good idea?
Star Wars (and, well, the Western culture as a whole) obsession with redemption is a curse. Why are you making us to watch the most despicable being getting their redemption? Why is Reylo a canon? Oh he’s just such a complicated misunderstood little sad nazi we should root for his romance
I miss Andor so I am watching a bunch of YouTube reactions, but I get increasingly annoyed by people who expect Syril and sometimes even Dedra to go on a redemption arc. NOT EVERY VILLAIN NEEDS A REDEMPTION ARC FFS!

I know pronouncing double letters as one is the general rule of the English language, but I just cannot accept Eng, that’s just wrong. Almost as shocking as the fact that the family in Rikki-Tikki-Tavi were in fact British colonizers and not Indians as in the Soviet cartoon from my childhood
I still can’t get over the correct pronunciation of Aang as 'Eng' because my first watch was in Russian dub and they pronounced his name as Ah-ang. Like, there are 2 As in his name and they pronounced it with 2 As. Otherwise what’s the point of double letters if you’re not pronouncing them? 😭

Which brings me to another Star Wars quirk that irritates me a little: all the names are apparently unique. There is only one Luke, only one Jyn, only one Rey etc., but Ben Solo was named after Ben Kenobi. So there are at least two Bens. Why there aren’t much more regular/repetitive names then?
I was discussing diminutive variants of real world names and realized that Star Wars names apparently don’t have any? I only one I can think of is Ani, but it seems like Padme’s invention, not a traditional diminutive for the name Anakin.

Yes, absolutely. It is probably the only SW show that doesn’t require the knowledge of 100500 previous shows and cartoons. (That said, there are some really neat deep cut details for hardcore fans, but that’s just a fun bonus and not the point of the whole show).
