If my using cliff and coles notes 7 years ago was cheating, why are we saying that its fine for students to use ChatGPT to generate essay ideas for them to write about??? Boggles my mind.
Having to teach students how to use AI “appropriately” feels like handing them a calculator in kindergarten and calling it a day on addition and subtraction. Grammarly instead of teaching grammar, generative AI summaries instead of teaching them how to summarize. So, so frustrating.
Just found out my one Saturday off from Boarding House duties next month is also the day of our concert so I have to be on-campus most of the day anyways :)) love that for me
They only talk during rehearsal to chrip me but at least they’re bonding over my obvious lack of teaching experience 😔🫡
Currently trying to turn 8 random highschool kids into a functioning band within the next month. Our drummer is a classical percussionist, our guitarists a mix of jazz and 90s grunge, our bassist listens to only jpop or doom metal with no inbetween, and I somehow ended up with 3 singers
And so many people I know are like “what happened to going for a PhD????” I am 22 years old actually I have plenty of time :)
Doing a 1 year Masters is so fun because I haven’t even decided if my final project topic is viable yet and I’m already staring to apply for my first full time jobs 🫠
