I get physically ill when people say the Democrats are too far left. They are primarily a center-right party, with a handful of center-left members.

My biggest problem with "reform the Dems from the inside" is that we now have very clear evidence they'll support a genocide for personal wealth and power, and I think it's unreasonable to believe such people would ever buck the insurance lobby to achieve universal healthcare.

Since I keep getting asked this [what does 'antizionist' mean to you]: I oppose all ethnostates beliefs because they're inherently reactionary and will, as a matter of course, begin to discriminate against those not of the character of the country. This is especially dangerous when the ethnicity in question is also a religion because it creates a divine right for that discrimination. No ethnostate should exist. According to these reports, many Gazans have suddenly become disillusioned with Hamas or fallen out of love completely with the organization. First, when you hear a bout allowable political activity in occupied Palestine, which Gaza still is, you need to be very, very suspicious. One hundred children get killed or disabled daily in the most heavily surveilled territory on earth, and somehow political activity, gathering, and recruitment are allowed and not immediately bombed. Already, we are in the realm of extremely offensive stupidity with this supposition. But, besides this, let me ask you this question: if you and your family were starving, or if your child needed urgent medical care to be able to walk or talk again, and the people with all the money, medical care and power in the world told you that id you go and demonstrate they would consider your case favorably, would you go and demonstrate? Thank you.

If apartheid was wrong in South Africa, it is wrong in Israel. If ethnic cleansing was wrong in Bosnia, it is wrong in Palestine. If genocide was wrong in Rwanda, it is wrong in Gaza. There is no principled way to support human rights in one context while excusing their violation in another.

Hey @bsky.app @support.bsky.team please stop suspending Palestinians. If Bluesky were around during the Shoah, would you also suspend accounts of my family members in Nazi concentration camps? There's no difference.
