Really? That's awesome! I'd love it if you'd do an interview with him.

Y0shi was the original OG in NES emulation. Never found out who he/she was... but damn... I miss those days.
OMG. This brings back a lot of memories. I was in #emuhaven on IRC with you, and I will never forget that. Hope you are doing well!
As far as I can tell, Proton remains a Swiss company. Under Swiss rights and laws surrounding them, privacy is probably the most 'sacred'. Proton still abides by this, AFAIK. I still trust them.
Then the question is HOW do we effectively unite? We can't get to the next step without that being solved.
I agree we need to keep moving forward. But when we're fighting for impeachment proceedings, we're ignoring the bigger picture, and wasting time.
The fascists took over. The old rules will never work again. The America I grew up in ended, IMO. Fascism was voted in, and it won't be voted out.
Ok, so let's go through the original message: Proton campaigned for anti-trust legislation. Cool. Then they pointed out that corporate-influenced Dems are real. I don't disagree. Then they say they invited members to an event. The only one that showed up was Vance. The rest says money won. True
Ok, so I've been thinking about this. It did accomplish *something* - to at least get in peoples' heads that they must get out and protest.
I don't think I'm discouraging, just trying to figure out what's going on. I don't really see what has changed in American politics based on these protests so far, and a long time. I hate pointing that out, but I think MORE needs to be done to counter this BS. Help me understand?
How so?
Trump lost because people realized he botched COVID-19, when 1.3 million Americans lost their lives. Then, they voted him in again. Unfortunately, the American voting populace has the memory of a goldfish. This time, it will be much harder to remove him.
The fascists are in power now. How has your subtle persuasion worked out so far?
And how did that work out the last two times? Oh, right - a reelection of a fascist that pardoned the people that tried to stage a coup on Jan 6. #EnlightenedCentrism
Should be be "disappointed" just like Lil' Gretch?
What do we do when even the governor of Michigan bent the knee to a fascist?
They were funded by the billionaire class to overthrow democracy.
Most people in the United States live under a state of privilege where they won't act until their life is on the line. By then, it will already be too late, I fear.
We've gone through these same circles for as long as I remember. Do you remember ANY protest over the last 30 years that changed anything?
Yes, a general strike is in order. However, most of the people that showed up on their day off for 2-4 hours isn't going to cut it.
Here we go, an actual attempt at solving this issue. You're absolutely right. Everyone, or at least as many people as we can need to be mobilized. However, spending 2-3 hours every 1 or 2 weeks isn't going to do it. Perhaps a general strike is in order. However, I haven't seen that being mobilized.
I only pointed out that that these protests accomplished nothing. If you have a counter to it, please reply on that train of thought.
Why aren't you using a more anonymous email at this point? Please, check out something like Proton. Some of the service members don't want to be tracked by Big Tech.
Absolutely not. It is a simple question I'm asking, although I'm being attacked for the fact that I DARE point out that these protests do NOTHING. Just because you're not there, doesn't mean my point is invalid.
You're huffing hopium.
This same situation happened during the BLM protests. Nothing has changed since then. If you think we're in a better position, then I will show you exhibit A) The fascists have full control over the three branches of government now.
It's ok if you can't answer the question, but please just admit it you can't at this moment.
How would this situation be different, considering the fascists have full control over all three branches of government?
Yes, I know people aren't fighting fascism for people like me. This is why you haven't answered my original question.
That's not how this works, sweetie. You must first answer my original question: What does this change?
So what changed yesterday, compared to the last 30 years of protesting?
