US Battleship BB-36 USS Nevada, was commissioned on Mar 11, 1916. At the time it was "considered the most powerful warship afloat." It was also the first US battleship to be fueled by oil. Survived Pearl Harbor, it was decommissioned on Aug 29, 1946. t.co/KawSjjbUo0

The Nevada Legislature passed an Act to "disincorporate the town of Hamilton" on Mar 10, 1875. Hamilton, the former County Seat of White Pine County, incurred debt as the town population declined. The Act allowed for a county tax to cover the debt. t.co/SscFv6y8rJ
