Any elected Democrat not filing Articles of Impeachmet should resign and let actual leaders replace them.

Patronage Supports the Arts

The great Patrons of old did not receive tax write-offs. The ancient Greek oligarchs were required by the Senate to fund the performances in the amphitheatres for the benefit of the public. The Roman Maecenas was patron of the epic poet Virgil, Cangrande della Scala of Dante, Lorenzo deโ€™ Medici of many artists and painters, none of whom received tax write-offs. They chose artists they judged worthy of civilization, for the good of the culture, mutually served it together. That required Patrons to cultivate themselves to judge aright, understand and respect the arts. The Patrons received the lasting glory of their cultured lives, munificence, and name.

The Parliament of Poets, celebrates our common humanity, peace and global community. Apollo, the Greek god of poetry, calls all the poets of the nations, ancient and modern, East and West, to assemble on the moon to consult on the meaning of modern life. The Parliament of Poets sends the main character, the Poet of the Moon, on a Journey to the seven continents to learn from all of the spiritual and wisdom traditions of humankind. Frederick Glaysher performs solo the main character, The Poet of the Moon, and Don Quixote, Merlin, Black Elk, Chief Seattle, Du Fu, Faerie Queene, Tolstoy, Dante, Job, Vyasa, Ta Chak, Rumi, Borges, Sogolon, other poets from around the world.

โ€œA great epic poem of startling originality and universal significance, in every way partaking of the nature of world literature.โ€ โ€”Hans G. Ruprecht, Carleton University, Ottawa, Canada

The Parliament of Poets: An Epic Poem (2024 revised edition) takes place partly on the moon, at the Apollo 11 landing site, the Sea of Tranquility, and around the world.

On Earth and on the moon, the poets teach a global, universal celebration of life.

One of the major themes is the power of women and the female spirit across cultures. Another is the nature of science and religion, including Quantum Physics, as well as the "two cultures," science and the humanities.

All the great shades appear at the Apollo 11 landing site in the Sea of Tranquility: Homer and Virgil from the Greek and Roman civilizations; Dante, Spenser, and Milton hail from the Judeo-Christian West; Rumi, Attar, and Hafez step forward from Islam; Du Fu and Li Po, Basho and Zeami, step forth from China and Japan; the poets of the Bhagavad Gita and the Ramayana meet on that plain; griots from Africa; shamans from Indonesia and Australia; Murasaki Shikibu, Emily Dickinson, and Jane Austen, poets and seers of all Ages, bards, rhapsodes, troubadours, and minstrels, major and minor, hail across the halls of time and space.

That transcendent Rose symbol of our age, the Earth itself, viewed from the heavens, one world with no visible boundaries, metaphor of the oneness of the human race, reflects its blue-green light into the blackness of the starry universe.

"A great epic poem of startling originality and universal significance, in every way partaking of the nature of world literature." --Hans Ruprecht, Carleton University, Ottawa, Canada

"A great epic poem of startling originality and universal significance, in every way partaking of the nature of world literature." --Hans Ruprecht, Carleton University, Ottawa, Canada

ChatGPT4, Donation or Gift? How to Determine 12-10-2024

The great Patrons of old did not receive tax write-offs. The ancient Greek oligarchs were required by the Senate to fund the performances in the amphitheatres for the benefit of the public. The Roman Maecenas was patron of the epic poet Horace and Virgil, Cangrande della Scala of Dante, Lorenzo de' Medici of many artists and painters. None of them received tax write-offs. They chose artists they judged worthy of civilization, for the good of the culture. Such custom places on the wealthy a burden as heavy as that on artists; cultivate thyself and recognize money alone can not create and maintain a society worth living in.

Question to AI:
For a theatre company that is a for-profit LLC, that seeks to retain its own initiative and freedom, how can one determine what is a donation and what is a gift according to IRS regulations?

GPT4 returned:
For a theater company that is a for-profit LLC, distinguishing between a donation and a gift according to IRS regulations is critical because each has different tax implications. Here's how to determine the classification:

1. Definitions Under IRS Regulations

Donation:

A donation to a for-profit LLC is generally treated as income and is not tax-deductible for the donor. Donations are typically given to support the business or its activities, often with an expectation (explicit or implied) of benefits or recognition.

Gift:

A gift is a transfer of money or property made out of detached and disinterested generosity, with no expectation of receiving anything in return.
The IRS distinguishes gifts from payments made with a business purpose or for services rendered.

2. Key Factors in Determining Classification

A. Motive of the Donor

Gift: If the contribution is made purely as an act of generosity, without any expectation of benefits (e.g., tickets, recognition, or advertising), it may be classified as a gift.

Donation: If the contribution is made with an expectation

Christopher Beha. NYTimes. Dec. 26, 2024

"The combined influence of these views of human creativity has been enormous. As many commenters have noted, our culture has largely given up on originality... Literature has become dominated by auto-fictional mining of personal experience, revisionist retellings of classic works and various literary genre exercises..."

"Everything about our culture at the moment seems designed to eliminate the space for careful listening, but the first step in restoring that space might be acknowledging that the voice is out there and allowing that it might have something important to say."

Unlike the German philosopher Martin Heidegger who joined the Nazi party and always refused to disown National Socialism, Karl Jaspers was a steadfast critic of fascism and communism, and remained in Germany throughout World War II, refusing to flee as so many others did, staying beside his wife who was a Jew. Sometimes we human beings choose the wrong heroes, not heroes at all. Then, it becomes clear, and we just have to slough them off and move on.

In his 1949 book, The Origin and Goal of History, Jaspers discusses what he calls the Axial Period, ranging from about 800 BC to 200 BC. Jaspers sees it as the axis around which all of subsequent history revolves, creating, quote, the โ€œunity of the whole of history.โ€ Zoroaster, the Hebrew prophets, Confucius, Laozi of Daoism, Homer and Socrates, the Hindu teachers, and others, represent a similar worldwide effort struggling to plunge deeper into understanding what it means to be a human being. Jaspers argues they were individually and collectively the most influential people who have ever lived and are still influencing and inspiring subsequent millions around the globe. Jasperโ€™s discussion of the Axial Age is contrasted with what he calls the โ€œoriginโ€ of history, the dim, unknown ages of time prior to the approximately 5,000 years of recorded history in which people were dominated by oppressive, tyrannical regimes, with little to no evidence of individual existence. The ruler was the deified embodiment of the state. While Jaspersโ€™ insights remain valid, thanks to decades of further research, today much more is now known about those primordial times than in 1949.

"Why are so many Christians cruel?"

Because they're fanatics, and now in their fanatical lust for power they have voted in a narcissistic psycho-path who is only capable of further destroying the country which has already become abundantly clear.

"Give a man a sword and tell him heโ€™s defending the cross, and thereโ€™s no end to the damage he can do."

Exactly what literal-minded evangelicals have done and are doing.

Their interpretation of Christianity is only one among many, and in no way among the best. Christianity itself is only one of the major religious traditions, not the sole and only Truth. The extreme exclusivism of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam have often produced, throughout history, a merciless, cruel fanaticism.

All three need to learn more from the comparatively more peaceful coexistence, speaking broadly, of Buddhism, Daoism, and Hinduism, and many of the Indigenous traditions.

The Catholic interpretation of the political organization that calls itself the Heritage Foundation is neither the Truth of either Catholicism or Christianity, and will similarly only further undermined and destroy America and Christianity further by worshiping and supporting an unfit psychopath.

Far from "Christianity" being the future of America, it's become a diabolical curse upon the Nation, all the more unfolding, discredited over the next four years.

What John Milton called "filthy lucre" exploits and seeks to obtain trillions through the Golden Calf it's installed
