I’m frankly a bit surprised Trump fired Noem. It shows weakness and reminds people that accountability is possible.

The Constitution is clear: Congress is responsible for authorizing offensive military action and declaring war. This President – or any President – should not launch America into sustained offensive military activity in the Middle East, or anywhere, without Congress’ authorization.

There seems to be something in many conservatives' psyche that values selfishness over altruism, tribalism over internationalism, fear over empathy and belief over rational thinking.

Fun, if you're part of that mindset, unbelievably frustrating if you're not.

A handful of Republicans could end all of this. And there are quite a few who hate this war, masked terrorists in our cities, flouting of Congress, corruption, etc.

But unless they prove otherwise they’re all cowards.

Kristi Noem has done a stunning amount of damage and it’s good she’s gone.

But this doesn’t change the fact that we need a complete overhaul of DHS, impartial investigations into the killings of two American citizens, and information on children that were taken from Minnesota.

Drumpf’s failures continue on and on, with nearly zero congressional oversight by republicans who are in power.
