I hope wrongfully terminated USDA employees get their jobs back immediately, for their sake and the sake of our country.

Many people from the #USDA were terminated yesterday/today. A place where agricultural research is done to support agricultural production. Scientists, research assistants, custodians.

This is unacceptable.

'It’s tectonic:’ U.S. foreign aid freeze deals a blow to research around the globe Dismantling of USAID could disrupt many clinical trials and wipe away U.S. β€œsoft power” in developing countries, scientists warn

β€œUSAID-backed studies have been shuttered, data streams have dried up, researchers and technical staff have been fired or put on leave, a system to predict food crises has been muzzled, and a USAID-supported global health journal has stopped reviewing manuscripts.”

Two people jogging outdoors. Stock photo.

A study of 10 people on a 12-week exercise program finds that working out causes the release of cell-free DNA from neutrophils, dendritic cells, and macrophages, which could help explain the anti-inflammatory effects of regular exercise. In PNAS: www.pnas.org/doi/10.1073/...
