To the point of the weekend where I suggest to @mithradatesvi.bsky.social that we just stop eating food and wearing clothes, because there would be so many fewer household tasks.
But like it’s the primary. It’s not like stoping the voting today will guarantee him a victory over the incumbent. I could see doing this in a primarily blue area during the general election. This is just baffling.
Just throwing this out there, can we retroactively re-assign the Oscar from a mediocre film about Shakespeare and give it to a devastating film about Shakespeare?

I’m only a few chapters in but this notation on the garden layout really speaks to me as a mom.
Getting Little Bits’ bedtime under control has not worked. I went to do a “last check in” tonight. Her door was locked. I rattled the door and she opened it.
And she looked up at me and said “MAMAAA, I’m not tired. Go Away.” Then she closed the door and re-locked it. 4 going on 14
I have massive respect for parents who did road trips with little ones before PBS kids apps were available!

On Best Song for the Oscar’s, it’s going to be a tough call between Golden and I Lied To You from Sinners.
I don’t know if they are judged on just the music, or if they take into consideration the movie and storytelling aspects of it.
Because just music Golden has it, full movie Sinners wins.

And the answer is remember 20 years ago when you were working full time? Schedule things that fit into younger people’s life.

We are pretty sure that she has tricked a little boy who likes bugs into playing families with her.
Little Bit has a new friend at school, and she had been saying for weeks, “I played hornets with M at school today”
When asked how to play hornets, she would say she didn’t know.
We got more information on hornets, apparently there is a Mama Hornet and a Papa hornet.
Welp, one gift won’t arrive before we exchange presents, but a note is now wrapped under the tree and that brings us to everything ready for Christmas!

In my defense, the whole box had been sitting unopened for at least 4 days, and we almost forgot the box to give to his parents on Saturday.
All the presents, food, and Little Bit were already in the car, I ran in opened the box, and grabbed the first thing that looked right.
