Pouring a silicone mold with @smoothon.bsky.social Mold Max 29NV. I only have a pressure pot, so this is a pretty ideal rubber for me. I learned the hard way that I need to cure it at the pressure I’m casting resin at, so it’s in the pot.

Mina’s head covered in silicone rubber

Did Mina’s first detail layer. She took 700mL of platinum silicone rubber to cover completely.

When she dries I cut off the drips and add several more layers until I get a good shell about 1/2” thick.

@turn.studio demonstrates his slip-casting process, starting with a 3D-printed design that transforms into a beautiful porcelain mug. Mold Max™ 40 was used to make the mother molds, which cast the plaster molds used to cast the ceramic slip.
