Frankly Mario Advance having extra health pick up automatically makes this my preferred way of playing Mario 2 going forward. I was never fond of having to get lucky with potion placements to regain health in the NES/All Star version.

17. Super Mario Advance
I never did finish a full No Warp run of Super Mario Bros 2, so for Mario Day, I decided to fix that by playing the GBA remake.
I was thinking of going for 100% but I think I'll save that for another day, as I felt satisfied enough with just beating "The Great Wart, hahaha".
Ultimately I do think it has been worth the long journey in watching one of the popular CN shows I never watched before, but something about SU Future's writing felt really off compared to before. It has its moments (mainly with Greg), but otherwise this was an awkward bitter end in my opinion.
16. Steven Universe Future
It pains me to say it knowing who I watched it with, but I didnโt like this final series. While I can relate to the theme of struggling in changing times, there were a number of questionable moments that made it harder for me to sit through compared to the prior series.
The title screen for Sonic Tameshi, though Sonic doesn't usually do his best Sonic ERaZor impression in the actual game. The title screen just somehow did this just as I went to take a screenshot for this post.
15. Sonic Tameshi
This fan game wasn't for me unfortunately. It's one of those cases where despite this having a good amount of effort put behind it, I just wasn't too keen on the rather straight forward level design in this, nor the weird scarcity of rings in the final two acts of the game.
14. Poker Night at the Inventory (Remaster)
I never got to experience the original Poker Night, so it's been a joy experiencing all the character interactions in the remaster. It's quite the Dangeresque experience.
I don't think this is going to help push more PS5s off the shelves with how more expensive the console has gotten over time, especially with the Pro model.
Sure it means more games to lessen the meme, but that can only so far if people can't afford the console to play them on.
If I had a nickel for every time a revealed game with an animated robot character outlived a live service shooter that was highlighted in the same showcase stream as it, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it will have happened twice come next year right?
I love how matches in Mario Tennis can become a back to back clash between both sides. Look at DK and Luigi go!
13. Mario Tennis Fever โ Adventure Mode
I played the Tournament mode shortly after finishing this, because the main tennis gameplay is pretty fun. The adventure mode however feels like an after thought, as it largely boils down to basic minigames with tacked on RPG stats.
"Approaching sound barrier!"
Fortnite main menu showing Hatsune Miku with her outlines missing. Bowser's Coney Island Disco Palace can be seen behind her, and it's purple.
Oh no, someone in the Fortnite video game universe stole Hatsune Miku's outlines!
Dang it, Dale.
Oh no, me retros!
12.5. Sonic Megamix Mania (v1.1)
The questionable meme inclusions got dialled back in the patch. With that one worry no longer being there, I'll update this section by saying:
This is a great modern take on Sonic 1 Megamix, and a very impressive, non-decomp mod of Sonic Mania all around.
"Nice of the princess to invite over for a picnic, ey Luigi?"
13. PASTA LA VISTA Super Mario Bros
Have you ever wanted to replay the original Super Mario Bros, but with changing art styles between worlds? Well this Super Mario World rom hack has you covered, and it's as surreal as it is well made.
A screenshot of Fortnite Festival on Switch 2. Showing "Quest Display Category" across all of the Quest Progress section. Magik is also seen doing her best Evil Homer impression.
Those were some tough daily Festival quests.
I hate Jetpack Cat.
"Now we wish we had a Virtual Boy version of Wario's Hallway" - Waluigi probably
It got even more cursed
The Corrupted Rayman Sounds Chronicles continue
The Mega Man games are on sale
How is this even possible?!
Actually forget the demos, I think the actual sound driver in Rayman broke for the sample based songs.
I think the auto demos are bugged in the Rayman collection
What do you mean the collection replaced the iconic soundtrack of Rayman 1?! The funny death scream is gone!
Oh a collection of Rayman 1 versions, that's neat- what do you mean there's a widescreen version that wasn't shown during the State of Play but a separate release trailer?!
Like it's still a good mod don't get me wrong, but there's a good reason those kind of easter eggs were not well regarded in the Sonic ROM hacking scene, especially in hindsight.
