Happy to share this - although it is truly horrendous listening to yourself...
Our new Gender and Inequalities (GAIN) Centre at @sotonpolitics.bsky.social is officially up and running! π
So excited to be running this with my brilliant colleagues @elizabethjevans.bsky.social and @emiliabelknap.bsky.social

I'm all for the promotion of running and classical music but I think we could also do with an APPG on disability
Disappointed to discover there is currently no All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Disability. There's the very important Special Educational Needs and Disabilities APPG but this group focuses on children and young people rather than disability per se.

Toutes Les Femmes de La Terre vous soutiennent. Merci Gisèle.
Grateful to @sotonpolitics.bsky.social @unisouthampton.bsky.social for covering the costs of the production of a (free) easy read version of mine and @stefaniereher.bsky.social book Disability and Political Representation. @disrightsuk.bsky.social eprints.soton.ac.uk/494719/ #AccessibleAcademia
Absolutely!
Great to see MPs raising the issue of electronic voting www.theguardian.com/politics/202... it's one of the topics that @stefaniereher.bsky.social and I proposed in our submission to the Modernisation Committee. Accessibility should not be sacrificed on the altar of tradition.
Our application to set up a School-wide Gender and Inequalities Centre at @unisouthampton.bsky.social @sotonpolitics.bsky.social has been approved! Watch this space for further updates as well as an inclusive programme of activities in the new year @jess-smith.bsky.social @emiliabelknap.bsky.social
