Ahead of today's debate on the Courts and Tribunals Bill, I joined lawyers outside Parliament to call for the government to abandon proposals to restrict jury trials.
We need investment and reform to tackle court backlogs, not the abolition of key legal safeguards.
While the EU requires advanced treatment of urban wastewater, the UK has no legal obligation to monitor microplastics or antimicrobial residues.
If others have better protections, we should follow them.
