Hi Nicky and all #SaintsFC fans. Following X owner Musk’s attempted interference in UK politics at the weekend, how about we all keep asking Official Saints to post on here as well as on X ? ⚽️👍

The task is to get the government to focus on delivery - increasingly good signs there - and to stand up for progressive values - a work in progress. Conspiring about leadership changes is a waste of time.

The idea of replacing Starmer is just utter nonsense. He's just won an election with a huge majority. It would look foolhardy, sel-obssessed, chaotic, insane: classic Tory bollocks.

Such a good point. We often do this in public health too. We implicitly -sometimes explicitly- reduce the socioeconomic determinants of health to poverty and we forget the social bit. Our societal divisions are rooted in ideology not only deprivation. Denial of this harms our efforts towards equity.

I have to agree. You don’t actively attend a march, led by such people, if you don’t know what they stand for.
You can try to dilute your reasons for being there all you like… but if you join in with an event like this, then you have to own it ALL.

Canadian and Australian right wing leaders both lose their seats within weeks.

Meanwhile UK Labour thinks going to the right is the way to win, even though the right reject them and the left are alienated by them.

Read the f*ing room.

More importantly, feel the threat from progressive voters.

This is the real news story:
Disillusioned Labour votes far more likely to vote Green or Lib Dem (43% and 40%) compared to only 9% shifting to Reform.

Share widely to counteract all the misinformation that justifies a further shift to the Right by the gov.

Hopefully Juric has learned from that that he has to avoid making subs. Barring maybe Downes no one on the bench is good enough for this league. And to not sub off Dibling or Fernandes unless they literally cannot stand up. Even on one leg Dibling is still better than our bench options.

Change in Paris air quality between 2007 and 2023 using visuals

Air pollution has dropped significantly in #Paris in the last 15 years. Mayor @annehidalgo.bsky.social’s leadership has traded car space for green space, safe bike space, kid space.. and traded pollution for people.

Good trade.

Opinion | It is patently obvious that the blame for the current situation cannot be laid at the door of Reeves. It’s embarrassingly opportunistic to claim otherwise

Now I am wary that we might have a problem. How many journalists, particularly broadcast journalists, are exclusively on Twitter without spending at least some time here? If there's a lot, we're in danger of handing over the media information ecosystem to the right & far-right.

How Brits remain more worried about climate change than their American counterparts New study from Yale University compares US and UK attitudes to climate change to reveal the UK is more aware and concerned about escalating climate impacts

There's been increasing attacks on climate action from the Tories and Reform, but it remains the case 80% of Brits are worried about climate change, 68% think it should be a 'high'/'v high' priority for government, and 82% support the use of renewable energy. www.businessgreen.com/news-analysi...
