Many thanks to Dr. David O’Brien of ams OSRAM for speaking at today’s all-hands meeting! It was exciting to learn about R&D + applications for cadmium-based + cadmium-free #quantumdots, including how QDs can help elevate our moods by making #LEDs shine more like sunlight!

#Quantumdots made of the same material can emit different wavelengths of light depending on size + shape! Precise control is key to #quantum hardware.
These rounded QDs have polarized facets that steal energy from charge carriers, red-shifting photoluminescence!
