the last few years i subscribed to playboy was like 2007-2008 and i only read the comics and the articles, i didn't even bother looking at the pictorial because the photography was so bland and airbrushed, i could find tons of tasteful nude photography online that was way better quality.

i was going to light a bunch of candles and play a board game by candlelight just like my ancient ancestors did, but then the power came back on.
the power went out at work and that was pretty cool. then they sent us home early which was very cool. then i got home to find the power is out here too, and that is not cool, not cool at all.

well i'm back from my trip to visit my family. i did not get any writing done at all, i did not even take my laptop out of its case. this should not surprise anyone.
i remember seeing pics of the original legoland in one of those lego kids magazines in the 90s and i was mesmerized. but unless they open a new one in like chicago, i'll probably never get around to visiting one.
honestly i don't know what either of my grandfathers actually did for a living. both of them were retired by the time i was in middle school. my paternal grandpa worked at some company as a manager of some kind? my maternal grandpa worked at "the oil company" but that's all i know.

anyway i'll try to spend at least some of that downtime working on my novels since i'm already way behind my meaningless self-imposed deadlines. with any luck i'll have ten finished chapters of my new original novel, which i'll probably post online.
this weekend i'm driving back to pennsylvania to visit my family. i'm not changing my sleep schedule though, so that means i have to be quiet all night at my brother's house while he's sleeping, and he has to be quiet during the day so i can sleep. this way everyone is inconvenienced.
i played age of mythology for the first time yesterday morning, but somehow the game didn't exit properly even though it wasn't running, so steam thinks i've been playing it for the past 22 hours.
me, hearing a loud crash coming from my living room: "eh, i'm sure that was nothing important. i don't have anything important in my life."

i just watched the movie ronin with robert deniro and there are a lot of unanswered questions in that movie, but my biggest question was who was the sniper that killed the ice skater? that was a totally random plot point. they just dropped a nameless sniper into the movie with no explanation.

no, i could not. furthermore, i doubt i could do even one of those things in 24 hours. i don't drink beer, so that's out. 24 tacos is like 10 times my daily food intake, no way could i eat that many. i could probably walk 10 miles, but running? not a chance, i can't even run 50 yards.
