This is tremendous work.
The pretentious cobblers spouted by the Foodie Bollocks bloke in the Viz. He’s imagining the window of a branch of Waterstones; in it is the book by the latest rich twat to ‘get into’ traditional food and its making. In this case it’s called ‘Roll Play’ and it’s about bread rolls. There’s a simple poster advertising the book with the title and below it a bread roll. There’s also a poster of the author in profile, all expensive haircut, goatee and exercise regime. Of course he’s wearing a no doubt very expensive plain black t-shirt. You can just imagine him saying ‘if I can do it, anyone can’ and probably believing it. Out of shot, the foodie bollocks man is saying ‘His book on extinct varieties of once common British rolls topped the Times Bestsellers for a month’. Adding: ‘Not to hyperbolise… But there was a genocide.’
