I agree that wild snakes should be left in the wild. Breeders actually mitigate the collecting of wild snakes by offering the alternative of captive bred animals. I’d argue that if you’re going to have a pet snake, it’s far better to buy from a breeder than to catch one. But yes, adopt if you can.
Hey snake people! I want to upgrade my snakes’ cages and am considering the Vision model 622. Does anyone have experience with that model? They’re housed in smaller Vision cages now, so I’m familiar with and like the brand & style. But I’ve read some ppl. have had probs with bowing. What say you?
I’d have stopped watching long ago if it wasn’t for James Spader. He can make even bad writing (such as Red’s inexplicable devotion to Liz) seem realistic.
I’m binge watching The Blacklist, on S8 now, and I gotta say, with Liz I-deserve-to-know-my-relatives’-deepest-secrets Keen, they wasted a perfectly good actor. We the audience are presumably supposed to like her, despite her reckless entitlement that gets ppl killed, but I just can’t with her.

We’ve discovered that they do acrobatics just for fun. We have one who climbs to the top of a skinny bush branch, whereupon his weight bends the branch til he’s about 6 inches from the ground. He lets go, lands on his back, flips over & runs back up the branch and does it again, over & over. 😃
We watched one stash a peanut in an ashtray on our patio table. He even did that thing where they pat the (in this case imaginary) dirt down to cover it. 🤣 The next day, the peanut was gone.
I’m sure it would, but the fun is in the trying. 😉
Another cool squirrel fact: Their brains grow 30% larger in autumn so they can make a mental map of their hidden stashes of winter food. Pretty cool!

Just finished watching the series. I think Carol Rainey (Bud’s wife) is full of crap. When you’re a bitter ex religious fundie as she is, it’s probably tempting to think everyone’s a deluded liar, and all evidence to the contrary is just “part of the hoax”. Sad & pathetic.
I hate professional debunkers. They’re sad, pathetic people. Just like religious zealots, they think people with beliefs different from theirs are inferior, and just like religious missionaries, they spend their lives preaching and won’t be satisfied until everyone believes what they believe. Gross.
The “Big Bang” theory holds that the universe spontaneously arose from nothing. The God theory holds that an entity created the universe. To my mind, both theories are equally ridiculous, and it’s not surprising that the Big Bang theory was originally proposed by a Catholic priest.

Riq Woolen is a habitual taunter and absolutely deserved that penalty. He was taunting earlier in the game, to the point that I was screaming at the TV, “Stop taunting, dumbass! You’re gonna get called for that shit!” Coaches equally at fault for not nipping it in the bud early on.
