Alas, that last detail removed him from the ranks of "The Manly Men".
He would be forced to spend the rest of his life in the shame of being loved and respected for his talent, wit, and charm.

First celebrity crush that I can recall.
He has learned many lessons. You have trained him well, Master Phil.
O'Neill, for all his boundless faults, actually believed in "of the people, by the people, for the people". We could use him or his ilk right now.
Hi, Jeff!
Consider getting an Optivisor for reading like this.
Note: this is not recommended for reading in public.
Oh, please. I'm begging you, I NEED Twainian levels of curses in my timeline.
Touch down?
How did Kulka manage to avoid jettisoning himself out of the plane?
This is a historically bad time to be an Actual Expertβ’ in any subject. I've never been felt so demoralized. There are so many people walking around and stomping on rakes in fields that are surrounded by signs reading "WARNING! Walking here will result in a rake handle to the face."
I must respectfully disagree. Julie Covington for the win.
"Only weak, woke defeatists study history."
β Someone in the Trump Admin (probably)
King channeling Little Nemo. This is amazing.
By the time I started reading the comics, Gasoline Alley was much less adventurous.
Jackie!
example: While I don't consider him particularly handsome or charismatic, I'll grant that Tony Curtis was beautiful.
I believe that what we have here is a failure to communicate.
Some of those are beautiful. Some are damned handsome. Others are charismatic. All have *It*. Without a proper rubric, scoring is going to be all over the map.
"Incorrect" should have been scored a *lot* higher.
"Slept with" is carrying a lot of weight in that post.
Considering how many people he apparently slept with, I'm guessing 7.5 to 8.0.
Sucks to be Carl.
Damn it, that was supposed to have a question mark.
A poor quality monochrome photo of a small fishing boat with two masts (not used for propulsion). The vessel is seen from just off the starboard bow. It is stationary and riding light in the water. It may be anchored. The bow and stern are high, with the bow appearing to be above the level of the boat's amidships bridge. There is a tall, narrow stack bearing a crest of some sort. The boat is numbered GY 506. It does not look like the sort of thing that you would want to go to war in.
I've been looking at photos of Grimsby boats at www.scarboroughsmaritimeheritage.org.uk/grimsby-boat... and there is a pretty wide variety of sizes. Was there a particular type that was requisitioned or did they grab anything that would float.
Photo of Worsley, sunk 14 Aug 1915.
The challenge of casting the rebooted "The Rockford Files" just increased. Not only do you need someone incomparably witty and charming, but now he has to have an impertinent baroque ass.
It's interesting that a plane flying from Florida to Morocco would even be over the Mediterranean in the first place. That's not an obvious route.
I love W:DorA, but I misread your post as "sporting a mustache named Lon Cheney Jr." and I rather felt that I would have remembered that episode.
Mid-majors. They only get in with automatic bids.
It might be a a controversial take, but if you live a long and happy life without having read anything by King, that life was none the worse for that deficiency.
The first (and last) anti-tank aircraft whose primary attack mode was ramming.
No, but Mary Ann got me interested in anatomy. π
Nicely done!
