Understandable. Hey, I took this free online course a while back and learned a lot about how to deal with issues like this. If you've got the time, I recommend it. It was easy until I had to actually use a program to design things, but that's not till the end.

Could be either. These sorts of bikes are common in places where people usually live in apartments (like, everywhere except USA). Even if they're not foldable, they're much easier to fit on an elevator.

One thing I've noticed, comparing European roads to American, is that the Euro roads really try to cut down on the number of business driveway entrances, especially onto main roads. Sometimes you have to take a roundabout route to drive into a parking lot. Not so in Santa Cruz, it seems!
