I think a lot of people want to tell themselves that everyone would agree with them if only the media told the truth but they would not. Maybe they should but they won't so deal with it.
Personally I'm kinda done with the "the media didn't give this topic exactly the amount of attention I think it should have gotten" critique in general, but the media talked about the evangelical thing. The problem here, as it it often is, is the audience didn't care.
