If it fades at all, I get comments about needing to redo it. Then when I do recolor it, I get comments saying "well it's about time". Fried the fuck out of my hair last year because of that pressure and now it's just...frustrating

It's almost the opposite for me? I started doing it for fun because I enjoy it but then I became known for it since I'm absolutely the most "alt" looking person at my job. Turned into basically being pressured into constantly keeping it brightly colored and now it's just exhausting.
