and to declaw this source material in particular of its most salient (and still relevant) themes and commentary in these times is certainly A Choice

after seeing it myself i’m most inclined to agree with the critiques of the latent anti-intellectualism of the film and the discourse surrounding it. i know the quotations around the title are meant to create distance from the source material, and i don’t think fidelity has to be the main goal ++

hmm That Adaptation really is just vibes huh
