My issue is that up until now they claimed and advertised that they would not upcharge you without confirmation; I've genuinely never had that issue before

Unfortunately as it's a large supermarket chain I can't review the entire company, only individual stores

Loopholes; your order isn't "complete" until its delivered, at which point they send you the receipt/tax invoice

They do this mainly so that if any items aren't in stock they can replace them, or so - if you're ordering pay by weight items like fresh fruit and vegetables - they can adjust price
