I had a passing knowledge of the Luddite movement, but @bcmerchant.bsky.social 's book really opened my eyes.
Well, I regretted spending some cash on a ticket and then forgot about the Rise, which only confirmed to me that SW is a waste of time. There are so many good films and series, I think people should learn to just move on. Franchises always outstay their welcome.
Well. Click bait title, huh? I don't hate him. I don't understand why so much time has been spent on analysing a fictional character. Which isn't an obligatory romance option BTW. Cyberpunk premise isn't romance, so I don't understand the controversy.
Move on maybe?
The only issue here is that there's no ethical AI.
The pinnacle of capitalists' wet dreams.
I see AI has optimized your searches.
We ungrateful swines should collectively help the tech bro's wet dreams come true.
I'm just wondering... Is it our fault that the adoption is not wide enough, or maybe those tech bros just don't have a good product?
I'm not an expert, but usually good products naturally find customers.
Especially the ones that can reliably do something useful.
Chinese cars are getting into Poland's car market aggressively, and it's a country with a similar population to Canada.
However... Some institutions are floating the idea of banning Chinese cars from entering due to security risks (espionage).
So there's that ...
Was honored to get the call to be one of The Guardianβs Big Interviews in G2. A thorough and thoughtful piece that digs into the real fundaments of the AI bubble narrative.

I've always thought that social media brought the worst people had to offer... But genAI has proven me wrong.
Of course it has its use cases, so far scammers and perverts have been having a ball.
Love Ed's work, and the sarcasm. It's very refreshing.
Control is much more tight with its dialogue. The main character monologues, but it's more intriguing than overwritten.
Can't wait for AI anal plugs to measure bowel movement.
Could this money burning be the ultimate source of energy we're looking for?!...
Oh, did the "fans" get the message of the film, oh they so did...
Lack thereof, you mean:)
Has any US leader since Commander Perry's adventure in Japan ever really faced any consequences for US military actions around the world?
Keep hoping.
Well, it's really good, and I love the format, the guests, the banter, and the in-depth discussions, occasionally going off topic, but in a very rewarding way.

Just FYI ;)
Oh, I was wondering if it's a coincidence that it resembles the Polish equivalent of the name Hedwig, but in its diminutive form... Because Curzon Dax seems to be a reference to Lord Curzon who proposed a demarcation line between Poland and USSR during the Polish-Soviet War of 1920.
@darrenmooney.bsky.social
I started watching Deep Space 9 after you and @jackpackard.bsky.social discussed it for a depressingly short time on Rewind...
Now, do you know the story behind Jadzia Dax's first name?
Because to a Polish ear, it sounds funny. It's the diminutive form of Jadwiga (name).
I suspect the conservative governments in some EU countries, who have a history of ignoring such rullings, will not follow

Cue Ironic by Alanis Morissette...
It's basically what Ronald D. Moore wanted Star Trek Voyager to be, but they didn't take his pitch, so he made his own version as the reimagined BSG :)
It's turn-based in the sense that you plan your movements and then they resolve simultaneously with the enemy.
Plus there's no base building, you construct the ships in between battles.
I'd say the core game is good, there's one Roguelike DLC, but it's hard (Anubis? I think)
@darrenmooney.bsky.social
Thank you for making me realize that Battlestar Galactica is the gritty version of Star Trek Voyager.
I really can't comprehend why I didn't connect that.
Also, I've listened to all 250 Star Trek episodes and these are amongst my favourite ones.
Edinburgh has some nice stairs and hills...
The world of Jack Packard.
It's a gift that keeps on giving.
Personally, I love their PC building stream, which was like four+ hours long and ended with that:
