I know, right? I wanted to tell this person: the only one here discouraging Ed/Stede fans or potential fans is you, by doing nothing but talking about how bad a time being an Ed/Stede fan is. Create, comment, rec things, organize, talk about what you love - that's how you keep a fandom going.
someone in that comm was demanding that positive posts about Izzy be tagged separate and blockable, because just seeing his name mentioned positively or seeing Steddyhands was upsetting them to the point of feeling like they needed to quit the fandom. Shipping a canon juggernaut is a hell of a drug.
I literally just ran into this in another comm. Apparently Izzy fans continuing to be active and the existence of criticism of Ed and Stede's arcs means Ed/Stede fans can't be expected to keep posting. I'd say the last four years did a number on people, but I remember right from the start that ->
