I am gradually closing tickets on stuff at work.
I have had to work extra on weekends and evenings to get there but it's nice to feel like some things are hopefully done for good.
Making room for my own stuff. It's bee a while since I've had capacity to work on hobby game stuff.
I used to alt tab back and spit on the screen to teach it a lesson but I figured it's already stealing enough of our liquids to "learn" stuff.

I become enraged. "That's not it, bruv." "What the fuck are you playing at?!". "Here, let me fucking do it."
So I take over, and do it myself from scratch and it works first time in the way I wanted because I am a genius and I never fuck up.
In the morning when I wake up I am too fog brained to do anything at all. So I ask an AI how to do my work for me.
Pretty soon, it comes back with like, a lazy junior's attempt at some work.
I have trifled with AI generated code and I know a lot of people on here are skeptical or have moral quandries, and that's all justified, but I just want to show you how I use it in my everyday setup:

I have to give a shout to House of the Dying sun which is heavily inspired by TIE Fighter, works great on a gamepad and has a good vr mode. And is by a former halo dev.

I'm doing that thing where I'm attaching my identity too much to my job. Which sucks extra hard when you have a bad day and you feel like a complete loser, and undeserving of a job.
It's annoying that I still do this despite many many opportunities to notice it and course correct.

Trying to keep steady output over a long period is my current aim. I've learned that you can't force things to be finished. There's always a little more to do. Chasing "finished" is going to end in burnout if you're not careful. Instead, finding acceptance at slow consistent progress is the way.
I have so much work. It is never ending. The simplest things become intensely hard to complete because of flies in the ointment. But I have no life also. So I can just chip away at it indefinitely.
I feel like an underskilled imposter daily... But progress isn't linear. All the little wins add up.
