Yesterday started out great and then took a turn. I love my new job, however, about 3 hours into my day, my mom called. I almost didn’t answer, but I had a free minute. She told me that my sister passed in her sleep. We weren’t close, she was my half-sister, but we were getting closer. She was 62.

Changing fields, but I’ve had my feet in marketing for the last 8 years or so, so it’s changing fields but it’s not something I’ve never done. This is also for an executive position.

I e been on the executive level for about 8 years, so I’ve handled everything technical as well as had my feet in the marketing side. This job is for a marketing coordinator, so not technical at all really, which is refreshing.

So, I’ve been looking to change careers and got a call for an interview.

Things must have really changed because every interview I’ve ever gone to has been in an office. This one, she said the CEO wants to meet me, so I’m meeting them for coffee at some bougie coffee place in the morning 🤣

The amount of people who are absolutely giddy at the prospect of the President turning the US Military on US citizens is appalling.

This is not the United States I served. Not at all.

No, I haven’t noticed a difference really. It’s still a pain in the ass to get an appointment if you need to be seen quickly. Still have to wait for specialist appointments, etc. Nothing has really changed as far as my experience goes.
