I’m beyond thankful to have gotten the opportunity to work on VO for Fortnite. Voiceover has always been near and dear to my heart, and to be able to work with such amazing voice actors has been a dream come true.
Since the year is coming to a close, just wanted to update everyone on what I’ve been working on. From Star Wars, to The Simpsons, it’s been a pretty *epic* year.
Had such an amazing time at #GameSoundCon this year! Got to tourist around LA a bit while I was there ☀️
This has been such an amazing year of new video games for me: been playing Expedition 33, Blue Prince, Dave the Diver, and finally started Baldur’s Gate 3 🥹 all so good

All this thread to say, when I was first starting my audio journey I was really overwhelmed with how I would get to a setup or level of experience to succeed. But it turns out, all of us in audio are just doing our best and taking things day by day. 🖤
About 2 years ago I decided to build my own studio desk and was able to upgrade to a Mac Studio. Grabbed some acoustic panels from Gik Acoustics too and that made a huge difference
The year after that I got a new interface and a piano (again on discount). My furman is being held up by a plastic bin and a random road case I found in the back warehouse of my former job haha. This is where I finally felt like I was getting somewhere freelancing, and that it might just work out.
A year later I saved up and got 2 Yamaha monitors from my music retail job on discount and then charged an iMac on a credit card. Best thing I ever did- upgrading my Mac allowed me to take on better projects!
This is how my setup began: an old MacBook and some monitors that I was borrowing. This was about 6 years ago.
I started my freelance career in this very room, had so many memories here, but it’s on to better things! Weird to see it so empty
