I REALLY wanted to do a goldfinch interior with a raw clay exterior but now I’m thinking of dry brushing some iron oxide wash in the exterior to really make the texture shine.

Been developing that goldfinch with some friends since my birthday and it’s becoming something really spectacular. Fits all our clay bodies, stable af, feeling really proud of it and our teamwork.

I tried to experiment a bit with this, it helped me learn quite a bit and I had lots of fun!!

This goes for American comics, too. Take what you think they make, halve it, then halve it again. And if they aren't working for the Big Two, halve it again. And to be brutally honest, if they're writing and drawing graphic novels, halve it yet again.

ECCC thoughts! a thread:

1) i had a great weekend!! good meals with good friends, new friends, friends i've never met before in person, got to see old friends i haven't seen in ages. i just wish i'd been able to get out to see more folks on sunday 😭

2) quality of interactions was mostly A+!!

Here are two easy things ECCC could do next year to mitigate a LOT of problems:
1: all small press/artist alley/artist-run booths together. All resellers together.
2: BETTER SIGNAGE
