Controversial four-day working week made permanent in South Cambs South Cambridgeshire District Council has decided to permanently adopt a four-day working week for staff, despite backlash over paying staff to work fewer hours.

The ability of the future Greater Cambridge unitary authority to deliver vital services such as education and social care is already being curtailed as South Cambs DC begins entering into contracts guaranteeing the right to work 4 days a week for 5 days' pay. www.cambridge-news.co.uk/news/local-n...

Saving Europe’s endangered eels
Saving Europe’s endangered eels YouTube video by RAZOR Science Show

The once-common European Eel is critically endangered.

Over the past 40 years, the number of juvenile eels in European rivers has fallen by over 90%, largely due to more than million weirs and dams that block their migratory paths.

It's not every day that you receive a direct attack from the Prime minister

Here is the local #Norfolk coverage of it https://archive.ph/BuPja and below is my quote

People did not elect Starmer and Reeves to reduce protections for nature. The attack on me says more about them than me.

Common Sense v Cambridgeshire County Council.
June 10th in the High Court.

Mill Road Bridge bus gate is not a done deal. Let’s hope the council realise that imposing fines before the hearing could lead to them having to refund a lot of people.

For those who say it’s a waste of money, look to the council, if they were playing by the book there would be NO case.

For those who claim that this was a democratic decision, why was the impact on neighbours ignored by all literature? Why were the people misled? This was a heavily weighted and biased consultation and not a referendum. To suggest otherwise is lying in order to further manipulate the situation.

This won’t go away because too many people have been ridden over roughshod. Too many businesses affected, too much inconvenience, delay and extra pollution.

Thank you so much again for your support.
