You are excellent at creating disclaimers so I believe you can do it. Something along the lines of "Delving into your past can be upsetting and destabilizing. Don't rush into this process without doing the work beforehand to make sure you can handle whatever comes safely."

Who do I talk to, now that God is gone? When it's dark and I'm alone I used to ask and wish and feel the day gone by. Now I scroll until the chemicals that signal sleep build up a critical mass. It was a relationship. Now it's an empty cavern echoing the prayers of my youth
