By that time I really only went for Christmas Eve or Easter, until eventually I went "nope, fuck this, I'm done with this judgemental place" and only had a mild🤏to do with my parents about it but I held my ground and they finally let it be after arguing each time and I kept refusing two yrs in a row

Also there was an instance at a mother's day tea when I was questioning my own sexuality and one lady was talking about her niece who came out as a lesbian but that "it was just a phase, she was married to a man before, this "relationship" won't last, she'll realize it was a mistake"

Ironically when the priest we had that I liked moved away and my godfather took over as our priest.
His sermons were always so negative and not uplifting and he was always judgemental toward my mom and I when we couldn't come to church because I WAS SICK or RECOVERING from being IN HOSPITAL. 😑
