Also don't forget to do your Glue Weight. You dont want the glue to pull on the front mesh at all. For me that was Glue A.

I put the Inner Vertices really close here to minimize the gap as much as possible.
Then you just glue that inner edge up and when you move the back piece, it will stay attached no matter the angle. And same thing for the linefill.
Also you want to make absolutely sure the AA edge is not getting stretched. The stretch should be a solid chunk of color. Otherwise you'd stretch out that blurry piece which does not look pleasant.
Mesh-wise, the outer edge is contained between 2 rows of vertices. This is so theres an anti-aliased edge on the outside.
But yea, this does produce a little gap on the stretch.
Minus any effect masks, this whole thing's essentially just 4 layers. a front piece, and a back piece and 2 identical linefill layers.
The back piece works best as a solid color. But masks can be applied afterward no problem.
I wanna show off how I rigged the hair pin on Autumn's model. Its nothing crazy but I think it's cool?
Ive always had issues with these flat disk-like objects. Having 2 layers kinda works on one axis at a time but when the corners get involved it all goes to hell.

Hair shading and separation done. Took longer than expected. Client wasn't happy with the texture of the hair and we agreed that I'd redo the shading from scratch in a more simplified and less glossy manner.

I've been doing so much Live2D, that I Havent drawn in this style in a while. This thick-lined style just doesn't work as well for models.
Also, some design changes for Cerfi! (I missed the blue hair so much..)

Sooo... I wrote a lil' CLI tool to stop Live2D from turning layers into "ArtMesh17" and ruining my life.
I call it PSDLint.
It validates a PSD on wether it will produce incoherent IDs and it also has some functionality for mass editing layer names!
