Eccentric, eclectic, creative goofball, a bit shameless, Jewlery artist, and crafter, pastel painter, Furry Mainly using this platform as a means to show off experimental ideas and push myself to better my skills. I hope to make some friends along the way.
Hmm, might be a good way to get back into the swing of things. Now that I have finished my move and got mostly settled in, I intend to get back to creating. This sounds like a good way to focus.
Admittingly I do remember having a lot of emotional moments in my eairly 20s, as thats when my social life really took off, as that was when i got healthy and joined the RL part of the furry fandom. However, due to past issues in my early upbringing, I figured i was prolly stunted in certain socialization skills and concepts and held a certain level of ineptitude. While I had a lot of fun, i was actually fairly popular, it was basically me catching up with milestones in life that one would prolly have had in their high-school era, lots of great memories but lots of confusing ones as well. Here, i was prolly trying to express it through my art, keyword "trying," lol. Though, looking back, i feel what matters is I hope i learned and evolved from my past mistakes, as well as understood, that I also played toxic roles as well as receiving them. I hope i can be forgiven for the negative effects i may have made, and forgive myself for not realizing certain things about myself that may also have been emotionally harmful to others. Still, I think it's an interesting collage.
Lol, so I will be moving in a couple weeks, during packing, I keep getting distracted by my old stuff. One is a sketchbook I had in my 20s. This was a sketch I'd add to overtime, especially when I'd let my mind wonder, depending how I felt at the time. I guess its the closest id get to an emo phase?
Francisco Goya (1746-1828), βWitchesβ Sabbathβ (1797-1798), oil on canvas, 30 x 43 cm.
It's my birthday today!! As per tradition, I would humbly ask you to share my art, it would make me really happy π thanks for being with me for another year!
More light practice from the same tutorial book, Dragon Art by J "NeonDragon" Peffer.
Trying various structure techniques, seeing what feels right, so far I like the loose oval and rectangle method, this one uses guidelines in a grid like manner. Not perfect, but miles better than what I used to do
Bit of light practice, just doodles really, playing with some color pencils, trying to see how things look. I'll try blending next time, tho I think i like pastel pencils better.
Thank you, I definitely need to practice coloring. Until then, I'll just tinker and test, I seem to like pastel pencils best, but I really want to learn how to use these brush pens I was gifted a while back.
Tried to tinker with coloring, but i still need a lot of practice since I haven't figured out sketch color theory just yet, I'll have to look into some tutorials and books for that as well.
An old practice sketch from tutorial book Dragon Art by J "NeonDragon" Peffer. These books offer some very good tutorials and easy to understand instructions. I have branded off with my own concepts, plus since im moving and all my jewlery equipment is packed, drawing is easier to do currently, lol.
Ok not bad, but im still very rusty, not that I was great to begin with. Lots of erasure and repair marks, but I gotta restart somewhere right? head is a bit too static and small for me, but I do like how the rest of her came out, kinda reminds me of a sort of water Dragon. Ima name her Serpentine.
While im re-learning how to draw, I figured I'd also post some older sketch works, this one I learned from a book called Dragon Art by a J "NeonDragon" Peffer. Im picking those back up since I do really enjoy sketching fantasy concepts.
I really like how the wings and hands came out.
Very happy you got away from whatever toxicity has been in your life. Hope you have a safe and healthy healing journey.
The mods for the new Ark survival VR game are finally giving us what we want.
A bit of practice work to start, I was trying to teach myself how to sketch a long time ago, but i lost sight of it due to...I won't lie, I was a party fur. The fandom gave me a chance to be more social, and I went with it. I had a great time, but I didn't focus too much on my art. Time to fix that
Still going to post jewlery wips and finished projects, I may also post some of my paltry sketches, I've been wanted to get back into drawing, its one of my weaker skills, but one I've always admired and the only way to get better is to practice, I apologize in advance, lol.
I've been focused on R-life a lot lately, nothing bad, getting ready for a move. Haven't taken the time to post in a while. This is an older concept made by experimenting with a dual chamber ceramic ring inlayed with Azure opal and a special pigment powder. #ring #jewlery #opal #crafting #ceramic
Si, I think it was called a Celtic weave, but i mis-measured the diameter of the rings by a few mm to the guage of the wire I used, so as a result they fit together very tightly, so the project feels a lil stiff to move, but makes for a great armored bangle, lol.
Thank you, I greatly appreciate it, I need to catch up on posting here again.
Wire wrapping was my first introduction to jewlery craft. If it helps, this was the first book I learned from.
It won't teach you wire weaving, but it's a good beginners guide that opened doors for me. Thank you again.
The heat treating in person is a much brighter cobalt blue than what my phone could pick up. The client was very pleased. The ring itself is rather large, a size 17US whereas commonly stores don't sell above a 13US.
This thing took a good ammount of time to sand and polish, I kept running into pitting and bubble issues, thankfully they were simple enough to repair.
The Inlay is a very pretty black opal, there are two size types within the inlay, a powdered sand peppered with slightly larger stones, all hand set.
I love how Damascus has this beautiful wood grain look.
Finished another lil commission, the client requested something more durable. This is a tungsten carbide Damascus, that has been heat treated. The inlay is black opal. The size of this ring is a whopping 17Us.

Happy Birthday to Me! Lol
Spending the day downtown at the annual MileHigh 420 festival. I sprung for vip tix so I can meet Tommy Chong. Decided to wear my festival best.

Lol, sorry, haven't posted in a while, been busy with life. Working in a new creation, a full amethyst stone ring, it is going to have a 925 silver liner to give it more stability. Hope it comes out well, so far so good.

Very tru, ever since my 20s I've been trying to cut back on E-drinks and the like. Either not enough willpower, or too damn tired, or just finally too damn old to even care anymore, lol. Wonderful work, thank you for sharing.
The ring is made from a special carbon fiber layered with a kind of glow resin, it came out beautifully.
I had a heck of a time figuring out how to make such a large size, given all my resources are meant for standard sized rings. This really helped me learn to be more resourceful and push boundaries. I went through a lot of resin practice blanks, but totally worth it. I intend to use more carbon fiber in future projects.
What i like best about this ring is when charged, it looks like it is crackling with energy. I could prolly come up with some interesting cosplay concepts with this kind of material.
This was a fun one, was commissioned to make a full custom ring for a client that needed a size 17us the largest you can commonly find on the market is usually 13us. This was a valuable learning experience in improvisation and research study #ring #carbonfiber #art #jewlery #glow
It's been a while since I posted last, busy busy with work, but have plenty of new ideas to try and items to show. I'm also getting back into sketching, went through many of my old books, and have a better understanding of how to incorporate the lessons they teach. I hope to show off something soon
I learned that certain dye powders will can not be sanded or cut into and keep it's simulated metal effect. However unique textures can be created. This was a beautiful surprise.
First of 5 experimental concepts, I carved several wood blanks, then set them in different dyed resins. It was originally supposed to look like a silver metal fused to wood, but the resin did not hold its shine. It instead took on a very pretty stone pattern.

The finalized piece I plan to use a titanium core with a specialized milling. It will be inlayed with Malachite and a working gold resin mix. I also plan to set a half dome Malachite cabochon in the center as a main accent.
3rd times the charm, but through failure, one can still learn. This is only mockup of a concept I've been tinkering with. I want to make a kintsugi inspired ring. I've been testing various resins and powders to see if they hold up to a full sanding and polish. #jewlery #ring #crafting
I love Venom. A shark actually seems quite fitting when you think about it.
