#3DPG model of a Valentine Tank lost during winter 1944 preparation for #WWII #D-Day landings in Burghead Bay, Moray Firth. This tank was found on 17 May 2025 by Deeside Subaqua Club.

One evening he brought along Prince Casinader, an 87 year old retired MP and former teacher, who told us they could see the battle raging offshore then the bodies from the Hermes coming ashore and how they respectfully buried them and tended the graves. Prince was an amazing character
Friends and I spent a week diving HMS Hermes in June 2013 with Felican Fernando who owns the dive centre in Batticaloa and found the Hermes.

HMS K4 conning tower fallen to the starboard side of the upright hull. Lost 31 January 1918 with all hands during the "Battle of May Island"
The original location of the conning tower can clearly be seen.
Dived 25 July 2022.
