The vast majority of US Presidential candidates only appeared on a subset of state ballots.
In 2020, four candidates appeared on enough ballots to have a chance at winning 270 electoral votes. Seven candidates appeared on five or more state ballots, but not on enough ballots to win 270 votes.
The first copy of an argument might be easily made with different words. But, each subsequent copy would become progressively more difficult to construct. That leads to the illogical result that the argument would become more difficult to make as it became more familiar.
